Lion’s Mane is an important medicinal mushroom that has been used since ancient times in East Asia to treat neurasthenia and general debility. Constituents present in Lion’s Mane exert bioactive effects on the nervous system, particularly hericenones and erinacines, which have been found to stimulate nerve growth factor (NGF) synthesis and are thought to be responsible for much of the mushroom’s neuroprotective and nootropic activities. Lion’s Mane has also been shown to enhance myelination in preclinical trials and improve mood and cognition in clinical trials. Subsequently, Lion’s Mane is a medicinal mushroom that is highly indicated for nervous system health, including neurodegenerative and mood disorders.

Lion’s Mane has also been used regularly in TCM clinical practice, either alone or combined with other remedies, for the treatment of ulcers, inflammation and tumours of the digestive system.

DOSAGE GUIDELINES	SERVINGS PER 100 ML BOTTLE
Small dogs < 15 kg 5-10 drops once or twice daily in food (0.25 – 0.5 mL once or twice daily)	From 100 to 400 days
Medium dogs 15 - 30 kg 10-20 drops once or twice daily in food (0.5 – 1.0 mL once or twice daily)	From 50 to 200 days
Large dogs > 30 kg 20-30 drops once or twice daily in food (1.0 – 1.5 mL once or twice daily)	From 33 to 100 days

Note: 20 drops = 1 mL

Storage

Store below 25 C in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight. Use within 12 months of opening.
Keep out of reach of children.

Use with caution in dogs taking immunosuppressant and/or antiplatelet/anticoagulant medications. Professional veterinary supervision advised.

Safety in pregnancy and lactation has not been established, therefore use is not recommended unless under professional veterinary supervision.

Discontinue two weeks prior to scheduled surgery.
